In between the mist

A subtropical forest located in the jungle of the Natural Park of Los Alcornocales, one of Europe’s best preserved native forests, lush vegetated with mosses and ferns growing up in the trunks and branches of the trees. The fog completed the image, giving it a mystical and ghostly touch and helped to create depth, by isolating the trees from each other.

The Spanish fir fortress

A mountain like a fortress, complete with walls and towers, which has the highest rainfall in the Peninsula and which hosts the last Spanish fir forests in the world that have been able to resist the climatic changes since the glacial ages.

Flowering Rhododendron

A picture showing a lush flowering of Rhododendron (subspecies Ponticum baeticum) in a mixed forest of resin pine trees and cork oaks in the subtropical forests of Los Alcornocales, which are despite the environmental threats one of the best preserved native forests of Europe.

An image showing a lush flowering of Rhododendron (subspecies Ponticum baeticum) in a misty forest in the subtropical jungles of Los Alcornocales, which are despite the environmental threats one of the best preserved native and autochthonous forests  in Europe.
