RINGS OF SANDSTONE HISTORY II
A composition with great dynamism, thanks to the lines of formations and erosion suggesting movement and flow. The cracks are the counterbalancing element. An image made in automatic mode may have the same result, but here the author consciously opted for a large aperture opening, to separate the focused foreground from its unfocused background, thus helping to create depth.
Processed in Camera Raw, with slight brightness and contrast settings. Edited in Photoshop, using «levels» and «selective correction». A cropping has been applied at the lower part to be able to adjust the image to the desired publishing format in this book.
