PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS

The workshops are given by two teachers with demonstrated experience in landscape and night photography and are suitable for a wide audience; from those wanting to know and visit interesting places, the enthusiastic amateur trying to improve his skills up to the professional who seeks to expand his photographic portfolio.

The workshops seek to familiarize participants with different theoretical and practical aspects of the photography of night and landscape and prepare them for the different situations and possibilities on the landscapes. Several photography manuals are provided to students in the course.

Apart from the essential technical part the workshops emphasize much on the subject of the composition as well as on the language of artistic expression and on the creative empowerment.

AGRICULTURAL LANDSCAPES

Andalusia treasures agricultural landscapes of exquisite ecological and aesthetic value, able to compete in terms of photography with the famous landscapes of Tuscany in Italy. Pastures of holm oak, mixed with gall oaks, olive trees and pine trees, decorated with fields of cereals, poppy, old farmhouses…, forming an attractive melting pot of colours and bucolic elements that has its attraction in all seasons of the year and offers great possibilities for the photographer.

TORCAL DE ANTEQUERA

The Torcal is one of the most interesting and spectacular areas in Andalusia, where erosion from the elements has carved over thousands of years an incredible landscape, with “forests” and labyrinths of stones, formed by limestone rocks whose ghostly forms appear to suggest faces and petrified figures.

This magical landscape is accentuated even further in days of snow, fog or in the light of the moon. Its mystery invites you to wander through its narrow, breath taking alleyways. You’ll be amazed by the beauty and uniqueness of space that seems to transport us to already past eras or to dive us into a world of other dimensions, where to open our senses, and horizons and to live new sensations and experiences.

GRANADA

In this monumental city the Arab influences still persist to this day and are an essential element to form the atmosphere of enchantment and magic. Neighbourhoods of narrow alleys, set with plants and flowers protruding from the amazing courtyards (carmenes), silence and peace in the very city centre, walls and wells of great antiquity, viewpoints with stunning views over the city and its Sierra Nevada, Alhambra and its forests, its ditches and rivers, the modern Centre…, a scenery with unlimited possibilities to enjoyment, to take a walk and pictures.

NORTH COAST OF SPAIN

The coast of the North of the Peninsula is home to some of the most photogenic beaches of Spain. Our trip runs from the singular Flysch coast in the Basque country to the most striking beaches of Asturias, passing along the beautiful seascapes of Cantabria. We will also make some excursions into the interior where we can enjoy beautiful forests with lush vegetation.

ALCORNOCALES

This unknown place treasures one of the best conserved native forests of Europe.

Here we find a vegetation that is surprising for its density and subtropical nature, at the most southern point of the South. Misty forests with moss and ferns growing on trees, rivers and waterfalls, cork and gall oaks and Flysch beaches are some of the ingredients of the landscape that invites us to explore, walk, take pictures and enjoy.

SIERRA NEVADA

This mountain range is home to a large number of ecosystems, landscapes and endemic species, both flora and fauna.  Desert landscapes, high mountain lakes and meadows,  impressive rock formations with almost perpetual snow, deep valleys and gorges with spectacular rivers, waterfalls and lush greenery with spectacular autumn colours are some of the elements that form the landscape and offer countless possibilities for photography, excursions or hiking routes.

In this desert area can enjoy the incredible desert landscapes of the Hoya de Guadix.

A road leads us miraculously among impressive gorges to bring us into the amazing area of the Bad-Lands.

With each step the landscape becomes more spectacular with its large gullies and sandstone cliffs of different colours forming a spectacular desert that resembles landscapes of films and documentaries. We enjoy spectacular views to 360 degrees to the five mountain ranges, much of the year covered in snow, forming an impressive contrast with the desert landscape, in one of the places with the greatest silence in Europe that fully invites disconnection, relaxation and enjoyment and connection and the feeling of being part of this great place.

We also visit a hot springs ditch which has grown upwards naturally for thousands of years, reaching today a considerable height and forming some beautiful waterfalls.

About the places to visit:

On the route of the wilderness we invite you to know and live the incredible desert landscapes of the Hoya de Guadix. We started our route in a small picturesque village with impressive large desert cliffs that surround it. A road leads miraculously among the huge ravines with beautiful views of the village. We continue our adventure to get to a point where a wide path introduces us to the amazing area of the Bad-Lands. With each step the landscape becomes more spectacular, with its large gullies and formations of sandstone in different colours forming a spectacular desert set that resembles the landscapes of films and documentaries.
